5.0 out of 5 stars. Outstanding Reel at Great Price!Verified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Louisiana on Wednesday, April 29, 2015This is simply a great, well manufactured reel! Smooth, strong, sealed drag. Easily converted from the shipped left-hand retrive to right hand.
The .pdf and videos on Lamson's website are well made and thorough re this change and maintenance. Could not ask for better! -

5.0 out of 5 stars. Nice reelReviewed by Skullafari from California on Sunday, April 5, 2015Outstanding reel with high backing capacity. Sealed drag is amazing, this is the same drag as the light speed and it rocks. No rats nest after a dunking. I would highly recommend this reel because there just isn't a better reel out there for the money. Get some before they're gone.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Good so farVerified Buyer Reviewed by Livin' the dream from Montana on Thursday, March 26, 2015This looks to be a really good real for the price here at Sierra Trading. I went looking for a spare spool and unfortunately ST didn't have any - spools elsewhere were as much as what I paid for the reel. I've loaded the reel and given it a "workout" in the backyard until I can get on the river later this week. It has performed well and is operationally very smooth. My only issue with the reel is that it has the "clicking" on both the line feed when casting and when rewinding. I prefer those that only click on line feed to alert when the fish runs and to help with any line slack. While a minor annoyance it doesn't at all effect performance, nor do I suspect I'll be too annoyed when I'm on the water cranking one in.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Lamson 3.5Verified Buyer Reviewed by Fishin 123 from Missouri on Monday, March 2, 2015Quality reel. The fly fishing snobs I hang out with appoved of it despite its affordable price. Soild construction. No hangups so far. The only minor knock was that it feels a little heavier, but not a deal breaker.

5.0 out of 5 stars. What more do you need !!!Verified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Key Largo on Saturday, January 10, 2015I bought a Konic ii 3.5 last October for a fishing trip to Montana for lake run brown trout on the Madison River. We did a float trip down the Madison throwing big streamers with 7wt rods and sinking line using the Kelly Galloup method of fast stripping retrieves for really aggressive fish. Probably the most fun I have ever had trout fishing ! The big Browns slammed the streamers and fought like bonefish, but the Konic reel took it all in stride. Fish after fish, hour after hour, the reel never faltered. I personally can't ask any more of a reel. The drag is smooth and there are no surprises ever. I fished the reel for nine days straight and it's in my never get rid of section of fishing gear. I came home to Key Largo and since Sierra Trading Post is having a closeout sale on these, I bought another one... Come on, they're cheap $$$ for what you get ! I'm going to load the new one with floating line and take them out for bones and reds...
Buy one, or two before they are history. You will never regret it...
