I like having a larger purse so this works well for me. I tried using it with my yoga mat and it wasn't very comfortable. I have a thicker yoga mat so the straps weren't long enough. If you have a normal size yoga mat I think it will be fine. Overall I really like this bag. It's super cute and seems durable.
