Many years ago I ordered two similar "pants" from Lowe Alpine and for skiing, they turned out to be a lifesaver. I wore waterproof, insulated ski pants over them and as a result, could handle even the most brutal of cold and wind on the slopes! When I received this version, I found them to be nearly identical to my older models... I don't mind the higher waist, and these don't look funny on me at all. I am 5'5" and weigh 145 lbs, and normally wear a size 12 in pants. For less than thirty bucks, these pants are a bargain. Looking forward to wearing them as pants, since I had knee surgery earlier this year and plan to take a year off from skiing.

    Weird fit! They're baggy in the knees and have a high rise so the crotch is too low. Inseam is rather short too. But it's good fabric. I'll have to wear these under other pants because they look funny.
