I use them as displayed in the photograph to add color accents to the table, coordinating them with the season or dinnerware I'm using. Fun! Plus, you can't beat the price when they are on sale.

I use them across the width of my table, just to add color, but keep them away from dinner plates to avoid stains. They hang well over the edge of the table.
