2.0 out of 5 stars. Great potential BUT....Reviewed by Anonymous from Anchorage, Alaska on Thursday, March 12, 2015I have had a pair of these shoes for over a year now. I wear them very often, most days. They are really comfortable, and true to size. They also look really sharp. HOWEVER... the heel on these shoes is garbage. Not long after I started wearing them my wife accidentally stepped on my heal as I was walking in a store and the hole heel ripped off. Upon inspection, the heel material is made of some sort of compressed paper. I had a shoe repair place glue it back together, but a few months later the heel just dropped off again. Additionally, there is plastic support material inside the leather on the back of the heel that always cracks for me. I see is a sign of poor quality leather, which doesn't require the plastic inserts (such as Wolverine's 1000 Mile line). All of the leather is really quite thin. A seem near the front of one of my shoes tore apart a few months ago and when the repair shop stitched it together again for me, it immediately ripped open again because the leather is so thin. Its a shame. I really liked these shoes for a while. They are worth so much less than asking price.
