2.0 out of 5 stars. Disappointing FitVerified Buyer Reviewed by Lost Dutchman from Superstition Mountains on Tuesday, November 15, 2016Icebreaker has changed its sizing! Icebreaker now needs to specify athletic fit or relaxed fit. The picture in the description was wrong and misleading, and I am a little upset with STP for publishing that photo. I feel it is a bait and switch, and it cost me $2.95 in return shipping....read on.
I am 6 feet 2 inches, or 185 centimeters, weigh 160 pounds, or 72 kilograms. 31 inch waist, 40 inch chest. I usually get a medium, but only the large was available. In the past, a large also fit me well, back when I could rely on the trim, athletic fit that I really liked about Icebreaker. No longer. This garment fit like a tent. It is cut for a guy with a big belly. On me, the bottom of the jacket was actually wider than the shoulders, so it looked kind of like a mu mu. Awful.
So come on, Icebreaker. Time to start telling your loyal customers whether you are providing the athletic fit or the new "relaxed fit" for the sedentary class. I did like the fabric and color, but back it went.
Oh, and make sure to use real pictures of the item, not pictures of past items...... -
5.0 out of 5 stars. NiceVerified Buyer Reviewed by Lander from Ohio on Wednesday, March 16, 2016Nice wool light /mid layer. Currently using in a backpacking layer system with a wool base, this jacket, down jacket, and rain jacket. Zipper is on the left, which is wierd, but not a big deal. Otherwise seems very good quality, very soft.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Great jacket, weird zipperReviewed by Pa Hiker from SW Pa on Friday, December 11, 2015I purchased this as a mid-layer for the colder months - bummer, hasn't been below 41 since it arrived. Thus far it has performed much better than I expected. Before purchasing this I checked into the fleece rating and Icebreaker rates it as 200 (my current jacket is a 100), this is not only lighter, but it is much warmer than my old jacket.
The only problem I have with it, and I don't know if it was designed this way or if it's a manufacturing mistake, but the jacket zips wrong. For a man the zipper is on the left side instead of the right. This is very awkward if you're not used to it. -
5.0 out of 5 stars. Great Jacket.Reviewed by RL from New England on Thursday, November 12, 2015Great Icebreaker jacket, with soft fleece inside keeps you toasty. I'm a 39-40 chest and the medium fits very comfortable, not a tight fit like some of my other Icebreaker jackets. I guess it's the new improved fit that Icebreaker has now.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Great quality!Verified Buyer Reviewed by Justin from Texas on Thursday, August 27, 2015The wool is one of the best quality I've seen! Both soft AND durable. I'll be sure to wear this a lot! Size is perfect too!

3.0 out of 5 stars. No stretch!!!!Reviewed by Anonymous from Turkey on Tuesday, April 21, 2015The fabric and the color (aegean heather) is just fantastic but it doesn't stretch horizontally!!! It's so weird that I wonder whether I have received a defective product. It stretches vertically but not horizontally. Which just makes the sizing off, especially if you order it based on your other icebreaker garment and the fit described on the website. I should have ordered XL but how could I have known.
Icebreaker you owe me a jacket. -
5.0 out of 5 stars. Super comfortableVerified Buyer Reviewed by rally from Iowa on Tuesday, March 17, 2015I got this jacket for wearing around the house (we keep it cool) and for cool spring & fall weather. It fits the bill great! It fits true to size with the arms being a little snug, but in a good way. Could be used as a technical mid layer easily for skiing or a fall belay jacket. The look is nice, not too tech, so you can get away wearing it around town. Love the merino from Icebreaker, they make a super comfortable product and I've not been disappointed.
