I recently wore it in the Smoky Mountains with temperatures in the low thirties and was perfectly comfortable with this layered over a fleece half zip. I really like the look and the way the hood fits, not to big or small. I'm 5'3'' and 125 lbs and the medium fit perfectly. There is a bit of bulk under the arms, which at first worried me, but when wearing it, I didn't notice it at all. I've ordered another as a gift.
