5.0 out of 5 stars. Truly a Classic

Classic not just in name but in design. Full Tilt has been offering the 2nd (3rd) coming of the Raichle Flexons for several years now. Raichle introduced this design over 30 years ago The liner is current technology. Everything else is true to the original design and that's fantastic. If you're new to the design, the tongue and buckle system will be awkward...for 2 days. After that, you'll be getting your boots on/off in half the time as your friends with overlap boots. While they're on, you will have the smoothest flexing, comfiest, warmest boots on the mountain.
Every boot manufacturer changes its design every few years. Trends have come and gone. Yet people are still buying this design. It took 30 years but other manufacturers have taken notice and you'll see that a few others are now offering boots with 3 piece designs. My first Raichles were exactly the color of these boots. I wore them out and bought a pair that was branded Raichle/Kneissl in the 90's. I wore those out and now I'm wearing these boots. Couldn't be happier.

These were advertised as size 9.5 but clearly said size 9 on the box. I tried them on anyway....like a vise, so I returned them.

About Full Tilt

Launched in 2006, Full Tilt ski boots are built on a venerable platform originally developed by retired ski racer Eric Giese and two NASA engineers named Al Gross and Dixie Rinehart. After prototyping the world’s first three-piece ski boots with articulating hinges, Giese pitched the concept to a Swiss company called Raichle. Within a few years, Flexon boots started hitting the slopes in 1981 and quickly made a splash in the pro circuit. The company eventually ran into financial troubles and sold in 2001. Despite an extremely devoted following in the ski community, boot production ceased. Luckily, Full Tilt was able to buy the molds, fine-tune them with modern technology and re-launch one of the most respected platforms ever conceived. Try Full Tilt ski boots, and experience the legend for yourself.
