Not heavy weight;however I think it's meant to be airy by design. Looks nice on the rod. I wonder if other review felt that thin equated to cheap. I think of cheap as the polyester type that you would find at cheap big box type store. This is simple but a pretty cotton airy curtain at an amazing price.
