It takes up very little counter space. Resolution is 1 gram (0.1 ounces in ounce mode). My only complaint is that it turns off automatically after a few seconds and loses the weight reading in the process. I'd greatly prefer an "off" button.

Clock is a useful feature as well, and I don't expect it will run the battery down. I have a similar battery-operated travel clock in my bedroom, and the batteries seldom need to be changed. I got this scale to get an idea for postage for items I have to mail, but find I'm using it as was intended, as well.

Replaced my scale that only went to 4 lbs.....this baby will weight up to 11 lbs. and is half the size of my previous. Also, it looks just classy enough to keep on my counter and has a great little clock as well. For $8...you can't go wrong.
