We're giving it to my cousin's boy who is 2. That should give you a clue on sizing. Beutifully made sweater, just really small.

Weirdly shaped sleevesReviewed by Eliza from Sierra Foothills on Tuesday, December 1, 2015The quality of the knitting is lovely, but the seams along the sides of the torso and sleeves are sewn up jaggedly, so that there are little points that protrude, and an extra "elbow" in a funny place on each sleeve. Can't decide if I'll keep it. For the price, it's passable, but it isn't the gift quality I hope it would be. (Where else are you going to get a hand knit sweater - in a developed country with ethical labor laws - for under $20?) The other Carraig Donn sweater I bought had the same issue.

Ordered the SZ L for my smaller than average 6 years old son. He is always very picky about his clothes and he love this sweater. Unfortunately, it's too small for him. Too bad that it will cost me $2.95 to get a "store" credit. Might just gift it to a younger child. :(

These appear to be sized small. I ordered a Small for my seven year old, and he is normally swimming in that size, but in this sweater, it was actually small. So I would suggest going one size up when ordering. Really great quality, and highly recommended.
