I bought this set because the sizes of these containers allow for more space in the fridge - I love them for that and the great STP price.

The instruction that comes with these containers clearly states "Never transfer the container straight from freezer or refrigerator to microwave, always wait for the container to get to room temperature." and "Max temp is +70°C/+158°F". Who, in this hectic world, has time to wait for the container temperature to rise to room temperature before putting it to microwave oven. I would have returned them if I didn't have to pay the return shipping of $6.95. I now use them for storage only. What a waste of my money.

The product is elegant. It is taller than some storage designs which takes up less refrigerator real estate. The lids are heavy duty and tight. They emerge from the dishwasher sparkling. Food heats quickly in the microwave in them. The large one actually stored almost 2 quarts of clam chowder but did not hog the refrigerator shelf while doing so. Love the Bormioli products.
