5.0 out of 5 stars. Good, plush shoesVerified Buyer Reviewed by Albert from New Jersey on Thursday, September 8, 2016These are great shoes! I ordered them because I'm "suffering" from some plantar fasciitis. I use them with special insoles and they work very well. I run virtually pain free, contrary to my goto shoe the Asics 1000 series (with the same special insoles). I bought a size 9, one size smaller based on one of the reviews here and although they fit ok, if I'd buy another pair, I'd just go for my regular size 10. 9 1/2 would probably be perfect! :) But anyway, I'm a happy runner with these shoes.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Walking on a cloudVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from NY on Wednesday, September 7, 2016I use these for walking as exercise and for daily wear. Without a doubt, the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned. Just enormous amounts of cushioning, which is exactly what I was looking for. I go a little overboard sometimes, and did the same here when I bought some Mega Comfort insoles to put in these sneakers. Now it's just a joy to float around in them. I'm not a runner, so I can't comment on how they'd be for that. But for walking, daily wear, or for someone who has foot problems or is overweight, you will not find a better pair of sneakers anywhere. Customer for life with the Asics 33-M. Sierra Trading Post had the best price too.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Better than Hoka and AltraReviewed by TXskier from Houston TX on Friday, July 15, 2016Asics stayed out of the maximalist shoe arms race for a long time but this is their answer and what a great answer it is. I've tried both Altra Instinct and Hokas and for me this is a far superior shoe if you want a minimal drop ultra-cushioned shoe. The great thing about this shoe is that they have dialed in the perfect combination of cushion without being squishy and they have retained the contoured fit of a traditional running shoe. The Altra Instinct has super soft cushioning but (for me) a far inferior fit--it's like wearing a box on your foot--and the outsole traction is terrible. And I could not work with the Hokas at all--I spent so much of my stride going down into and then back out of the shoe, it was biomechanically inefficient and actually uncomfortable to run in. With this shoe, you get the nice wide toe box but also a nice snug midfoot and heel fit, and the cushioning is a perfect combination of soft and supportive. Sizing seems to be spot on. If you're a high mileage runner, this is a great maximalist shoe, the best I've found. It's pricey at retail but so are Hokas, and that's where the STP deal comes in!
