I couldn't tell when i bought it so i took a risk and was burnt. I was looking for 6-7 IPS. The line itself is nice, loads & casts well.......as expected with any Rio product. No complaints other than lack of information. Do your research better than I.

Outbound Short Freshwater WF Sinking Type 3 30' integrated tipVerified Buyer Reviewed by Fishin in Sunny CA from Callifornia on Tuesday, November 3, 2015This is a integrated line with an intermediate running line with a type 3 WF taper 30' sinking tip apparently density compensated. I have the 7 wt and 6 wt versions and have yet to use them but I did use two 7 wt WF S1 intermediate outbound short freshwater line and that one shot line very well with small clousers and zonker minnows. I expect the S3's to shoot line just as well and get the flies deeper.
