5.0 out of 5 stars. Warm, not itchy classic

As cited by many, this classic English sweater is rather skimpy in sizing so DO order a size larger, and despite some equivication in earlier comments, it is real non-itchy Merino wool. This cardigan is medium weight and clearly not like the fisherman knits from years back which were voluminous, heavy-weight and required wearing pajama tops and a silk scarf under it so you wouldn't spend the day like a demented feeb scratching yourself.

Purchased for my father who normally wears a medium but took advice from feedback on this item to order up a size. Glad I did.

Very high quality sweater. My previous 20+ year old cotton sweater was size medium. I bought this in size large based on Sierra's sizing chart and other reviews and it fits perfectly. Wool doesn't itch. There's one thread that's sticking out, but that's easily fixed. My only disappointment is that it doesn't come with a spare button like my other sweaters do.

I ordered it for my husband who is very difficult to please. He loves the sweater. Immediately started to wear and he already got several compliments from our friends.
The material is very soft and pleasant, the size is right. Overall it was an excellent purchase.
We would recommend it to everybody who is a "sweater" person.

Nice well made sweater. It is sized correctly. It is relatively thick, warm and is more of a casual sweater - not one to be worn for business casual at the office. The only negative is when one stretches the sweater (even a small amount), the space between knit patterns opens up and one can see the shirt one is wearing underneath.
