I did find them long for my 5 ft 5.5" height, but I easily rehemmed them by rolling the hem once.

I think the material will be durable although it is a bit "nylon" sounding when you walk. The bottom of the legs swish together making a noise. Not enough to bother me though. Couldn't beat the price.
