About Quiksilver

Australian-based Quiksilver is one of the world's largest makers of surf apparel and boardsport equipment. Around since 1970, their success was no accident. Two surfers from the famous Bells Beach area, known for its killer breaks, redesigned the wetsuit specifically for surfing. Their unique wetsuits were such a sensation that they immediately caught on overseas, leading to the founders' several-million-dollar paycheck when they sold the distribution rights in the U.S. just six years later. Today Quiksilver produces beachwear for the young-minded, including board shorts and surf tees. Quiksilver sponsors roughly 500 pro and amateur surfers, snowboarders, and skaters, including surfer Kelly Slater and skating pioneer Tony Hawk. Look for their signature logo – a tsunami curling over a mountain – on virtually all their apparel.
