5.0 out of 5 stars. Amazing Down Sleeping Bag

I read an extensive review on this bag done by PaddyPallin on the LTIII but the same applies to the LTI and LTII.

However, I returned it and bought the long version as the shoulder girth was a couple more inches and I'm a side sleeper. I'm 5'10" but found that I was pushing the limits of the length. Yes, I could have gotten away with the Regular sized bag but wanted the extra width and additional loft. Plus I want the option to stash clothes at the end of my bag to keep them warm in cooler temps. Anyways, the bag is plenty warm, down is amazing, and it all puffs up. Storage of the bag is amazing as well, Sea to Summit has a very unique way of storing...shoe box sized bag for medium-term storage or the bag expands to a large laundry sized bag for longterm storage. All I know is that it was comfy and I look forward to the Long version when it comes for the additional room. yes more room means more pockets of air to heat thus not as efficient but I'll have a sleeping bag liner as well, I think I'll be fine. Neon green is surprisingly a pleasant color to have.

  • 3.0 out of 5 stars. First bag defective. STP to the rescue

Received bag with a defect. After fluffing bag I noticed 4-5 chambers were nearly empty of down. Notified STP and they said that no more regulars were available but they sent me a long for 20% further discount. (around 185). I just received the New bag and Its great. Fully filled, 2" wider which works better because I'm 5-10" but wide. It is luxurious. I'm very satisfied and the service level was good.
  • 4.0 out of 5 stars. Good price, light and packs down small

I suggest using a liner in temps below 35 f. The separate zipper for the foot is a negative and would prefer a single with a two way pull. Im 5"11 and it fit good with a little extra comfort room. its a good bag worthy of any pack.

About Sea to Summit

The idea behind Sea to Summit started back in 1990 when an ambitious Aussie named Tim Macartney-Snape hiked solo from India’s Bay of Bengal all the way to the top of Mount Everest -- without oxygen. Tim’s expedition, the first-ever sea-to-summit ascent of Everest (8,848 meters of elevation gain), took four months. After returning to Australia, Tim and friend Roland Tyson launched the Sea to Summit brand with the intent to produce innovative, lightweight and well-made outdoor gear for fellow adventurers. Today, Sea to Summit dry bags, sleeping bags, multi-purpose tarps and paddling accessories are sold all over the world.
