4.0 out of 5 stars. Comfortable BargainReviewed by Mauka in Kona from Kailua Kona, Hawaii on Sunday, April 21, 2024Although the size was listed as wide, at $25 I took a chance and found that they are more a D. The length is accurate but because of the taper at the toe they wear a little shorter. Probably will stretch out over time. Very comfortable, like a slipper.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Length size is accurate, but width is narrow!Reviewed by Blu Collar from So. Calif. on Tuesday, July 18, 2023I ordered size 10.5, although my typical footwear size is 10. The lenght size is accurate based on the length of the insoles and my toes' imprint on the insoles. However, I have borderline wide feet, and I can tell these boots are more narrow than the average work boot. They fit snug, but I'd describe it as 'supportively' snug (for my widish feet).
I can't wear my winter/thick socks with these boots, despite being slightly oversized (lengthwise).
If you typically wear wide footwear, definitely skip these boots. If you have borderline wide feet, like me, keep in mind that these boots won't accommodate heavyweight or midweight socks, even if you upsize -- fortunately, the boots are insulated.
I will attempt to loosen the laces between the boot and the zipper piece; if you're not familiar with this style of boots ("station boots"), you'll discover that relacing is a pain in the a**.
The material between the toe piece and the upper, isn't leather, it's synthetic. So, I have a hunch that area will develop a tear from frequent flexing and bending. However, the upper and zipper piece are leather.
I hate typical laced boots (I much prefer pull-on boots), however these "station" boots offer speedy donning and removal without sacrificing ankle support.
The boots have a reflective band on the back, which is a valuable feature not offered on even more expensive boots.
At Sierra's pricing, these are good 'entry-level' station boots that don't require routine polishing (since the heel, vamp and toe pieces aren't leather), unlike more expensive, higher end station boots.
If your budget allows, there are higher quality, more durable station boots out there. The only downside of more expensive station boots is they require routine polishing if you want to maintain their appearance.
So far, my favorite (mid-price) brand of station/firefighting boot is All American Boot, which are made in California (I haven't tried pricier brands, such as Nick's, Danner, etc, but I reckon you get what you pay for). -
2.0 out of 5 stars. Shoes run very largeReviewed by Grandpa Don from New Mexico on Thursday, July 13, 2023These shoes run very large. I almost always wear 8M and that is what I ordered. They are large in the width and in the heel. Thus far I have added insoles and ordered heel pads to try to get them anywhere near fitting. If this is typical, then I recommend ordering shorter and narrower shoes if you can get them. My guess is these shoes are comparable to about a size 8 ½ EE. The quality seems fine. I wish I had saved the return slip and had not worn them once so I could return them. Oh well, next time.
