About Peugeot Ales Zamak Salt or Pepper Mill - 6”
Closeouts. The natural beechwood body of Peugeot's Ales Zamak salt or pepper mill feels great in your hand, and the angular top handle is very easy to twist for a perfect, consistent grind. The French-made grinding mechanism is made from case-hardened steel with helix-shaped teeth that hold and guide crystals or peppercorns into position.

- Made from natural beech wood with lightly varnished finish

I purchased it specifically to be used as a pepper mill. I has a large 'S' on top and also comes with salt already in it. Ergo, it is a Salt mill. I returned it. Hopefully STP corrects the erroneous description.

The grinding mechanisms seem to be real-deal Peugeot. I can't comment yet on durability since I've only had these for a month, but so far I have no complaints about how they function. The beechwood is quite soft and will show dents and scratches, but this is probably less of an issue for the natural finish I ordered than for the black finish. Great deal.
