It is stiffer than fleece or thin nylon, which was good because I could put my phone in the chest pocket and it did not bounce around at all. My biggest complaint about it is that the armholes flair up at the shoulders, which kind of gives it a Star Trek appearance. If you wear it over something really bulky, like a sweat shirt, it is not too noticeable. But if you wear it with something tighter, it loos odd.
