I am usually an 8/8.5 with a narrow foot and an 8 fits fine with a thick pair of socks. My only complaint is that where the rubber meets the leather and tongue of the shoe can cut into the top of the foot. I put insoles in my boots for a long walk in D.C. and was only able to wear a thin pair of socks instead of something thicker, so you have to choose what you want more. Extra support or warmth. Otherwise, they are great! I don't regret purchasing, especially for the price.

The toe box is a little "pointy" and not as rounded as I would prefer. Very comfortable inside, nice padding and insulation. The shaft of the boot does extend up a little and is a little stiff to begin with but they are leather (which is a big plus) so they will break in. Very warm boot overall. Again, my only down side is the toe box shape.
