I have a jacket over 11 years old I still wear hard and a pair of work pants (purchased from STP :) that have endured 6+ seasons of heavy frequent use and washing. I expect these shorts to offer the same amazing long term value. The review stating she returned them for being too heavy, clearly isn’t familiar with carhartt work gear. The specs say 9.25 oz fabric... Ya, they are stout and therefore a little warmer than average shorts. That’s the trade off for years of rugged durability. I for one, will gladly take it. Especially at STPs unbeatable prices. BTW, I examined closely and can’t find a reason why they’re “factory seconds”.

I was disappointed that they were so heavy and bulky - almost like canvas shorts. I sent them back.
