But then as I continued to wear them around the house, the lack of arch support and meaningful cushioning started taking its toll on my feet. Definitely not up to being worn for an entire day.

I bought my ideal size 12½ and for me they run narrow. I had to bump up to size 14 to get them wide enough. My foot is somewhat wide. If your feet look like Aquaman's flipper feet, you'll may be fine at your regular size.

The shoes are decent but after about 2 weeks some of the stitching started to fray. The shoes are definitely made for just walking around. They don't have the support for running or doing anything athletic. They are great for thowing on and doing errands.

I love 'em, I got the black ones with the red laces and they are mighty mighty cool if ya like the 70's vibe. These shoes don't need any breaking in, they are comfortable from the moment you put them on. They are a bit snug but not in a bad way but if you have wide feet they may be too snug.
