However, the boots, although they are leather, didn't look like leather. The side gore is an attractive feature and maybe the leather would have looked better in another color but I was disappointed in the red.

I've had this problem with short boots before so it may just be me. Other than that they were comfortable, I wore them around my house foe a few hours.
