It will also make a good travel dress. It's a bit too clingy for my body shape (curvy but not overweight), but it looks terrific on her. It's long enough to be modest in all sorts of situations, but fashionable enough for a senior-high, picky daughter.

When ordering I thought it would be lighter weight but because it is reversible it is basically two dresses sewn together. That said it is cute and the colors black/purple are nice and work well together. I'll have to wait for cooler weather to wear it.

The grey reversible fabric is longer than the purple fabric. Makes it look cheap and weird when wearing the purple on the outside since the grey peeks out below the hem of the purple.

I wanted this dress to take with me travelling. Yes, there are two layers (black/grey) but the material itself is thicker than I anticipated. Not sure if it would work in a hot humid country. It looks like it won't wrinkle but it won't be a quick dry if you had to wash it in the sink. The neckline is low so if you lean forward you might show more than you want.

The cowl neck adds interest and contrast, and it is truly reversible. I initially bought the plum and black, but have since returned and purchased the black and gray. I can't find what makes it a second. (Athleta is the brand) I bought an XXS (if your normal size is XS, look closely at the size chart, you made need to size down.) I'm 5'3, 115lbs and the XXS was perfect.
