The fit isn't great - the lacing system isn't very smooth, so the tongue bunches on the top of my somewhat odd-shaped feet (high angle, fairly wide, fairly short). Also, they're not breathable enough. That said, I wear them every day at work (emergency room) and around town. They don't quite cut it for running or hiking on rough terrain. Back to Salomon and North Face for me. -

I ordered these in a 13 because I wear a 12 and had some Solomon XT Wings that were a 12 and always hurt my 'wide' feet. However, had to reorder a 121/2 and they work fine. I think the heel runs wide, but I really am not wearing these to trail run. I just wanted some waterproof athletic shoes. These do keep your feet dry. I'm not sure the fit is right for rigorous trail running. Taking a little getting used to the yellow color, but I knew it when I ordered them. I like Sierra Trading Post's $2.95 shipping with Instant Credit, and the reps were very helpful.

The shoes open up around the side of my ankles, I guess its from the lacing system but my SALOMON shoes had the same system and they worked great. Maybe in a few days I will be able to come back and say I have fixed the issue, but right now this is a deal breaker.
