We just completed a ski trip and his old jacket was getting to small. The fit on this jacket is perfect. We bought it a little big hoping to use it next season as well. The jacket is not super heavy weighted. It will need to have a layer or two underneath to keep him warm. The jacket does not come down very low on the back side, really just to the top of the butt. Will work fine with bibs but would be concerned if using with ski pants. The real shortage on the jacket is pockets. There is not an inside or upper pocket, only the two on the side lower for hands.

Warm fuzzy lining and perfect for Texas winters with temps in 30-40s. Going to take them to the mountains soon, buy will likely need some warm layers under them. Definitely great deal.
