I have other Stetson's (different styles) that I like a lot, but this one needs work. The material of the hat is nice, and it would be quite packable (likely warm). I was looking for something warm but capable of being packed for travel.
I usually wear a very large (XXL), but only had this in an XL so took the gamble. It does fit, well enough to hold the hat on (so there's no "excess material" because of sizing).
However, one flaw really bugs me: The spot where the brim edge hits the side of the hat sticks out on both sides. So looking straight on you have an oblong look with protruding wings on each side. I'll try "re-forming" this hat, and getting those wings to go in a bit, we'll see how it works. These weird side nobs are going to be a problem for me.
Luckily I also bought a Stacy Adams Cuffley Driving Cap at the same time and REALLY like that one!
