First they have very little arch support, and second there is a strange plastic part that encircles the heel that the laces are tied into. It is rigid plastic and I will be surprised if it doesn't crack at some point. The tongue of the shoes is also a bit odd. It is part of a piece that forms a cuff around your ankle and is a little bit tight, making these a challenge to pull on. I will wear these but I'm not thrilled.
