I don't like super long tri shorts, so am always looking for 6" tri-shorts. These fit the bill perfectly, with the extra panel in front to bulges and outlines. They have pockets on the side which are easily accessible. I have two pair (size large) that I wear for training and one pair (size Med) that I wear to race. (and at least one new pair still in the plastic somewhere!) The only time I swim in them is during a race so chlorine doesn't eat away at the fabric. Chamois is sufficient. Other colors would be welcomed.
