    This would be a relatively worthless review, as I bought the item for my son in March (New England winter still) for use in the spring and summer. Son is 6'3" and 220 lbs. He was DELIGHTED at the gift. I did much research and the Bic Tracer series is very highly rated and perfect for his size. The price paid was less than a 1/3 of standard retail...so I scooped it up. Though the item is sold out in STP, if you can get your hands on one of these....go for it.

    Pretty great all around board, I've taken it out on the lake a couple of times, it's super stable even with some jetski and speedboat traffic kicking up waves. Yesterday I did my first mellow whitewater, had problems but it was user error. The 9" fin is way too big for shallow river floating. I hit a rock at some point which completely sheared off the brass retaining screw. The fin survived though so the first thing I did when I made it home was to buy more screws and a shorter fin for running rivers.
