The lid seals tight so nothing leaks. He likes the divider which slides to adjust the size of the 2 sections, & is removeable so you can use it as 1 or 2 sections. Although something like gravy if it's thin can seep under the divider into the other side so you have to keep that in mind when using them.

The lids do not seem as though they seal particularly well either. I was looking for a wide-mouthed insulated container and so will return the item.
