    I wasn't sure how these boots would fit but I have had excellent luck with Danner boots in the past. These fit well with mid weight socks and were one of the most comfortable pairs of boots I have purchased and right out of the box. They are one size larger than my Danner Pronghorns. The High Ground has good support with light weight. I look forward to using them more as the weather cools down in the fall.

    Wore these 12 miles in the Yellowstone Breaks right out of the box during the thaw. Mud ice & snow. Great foot and ankle comfort. Nice padding, warm but not too heavy. I own the other 400g Danner model that are very similar and these might be more comfortable. They are easier to lace up, the square hooks on the other model are hard to catch at 3am in the dark. I will buy the again for sure. I hike 12 to 25 miles a day hunting and moving cows. Remember boots have 500 miles in them. Insoles & socks can get you by for a few more weeks but once they're done they're done. A review that says barely lasted a year is meaningless. Did they get wet & go untreated? Used 10 miles a day or a month? Danners are great. I have 5 different types (different weather conditions and terrain) they give you great miles and comfort for the price.
