5.0 out of 5 stars. Great reels, outstanding price

I've had one of the 7/8/9 version of this reel, and a spare spool, for four years, and I've used it hard in both freshwater (bass, pike) and salt (stripers) with no problems. I was looking for another spare spool when I saw the price here -- can get the whole reel for less than the spools used to retail -- so I bought two. Great product.

I paired the 3/4/5 model (100 yds backing and a 4WF SA Line (Mastery GPX) and MAN! does this balance well with the Powell SweetP 7.0' 4wt. fiberglass rod. What a fun easy going "back to the old days" feel for a small river or trout stream.
