    FYI this is a LIGHTWEIGHT EURO ROD!!! NOT A FLY ROD!!! Nevertheless, all Euro rods are able to do all 4 of the major styles of fly fishing, Euro, Dry, Indicator and Spey. Therefore, you could use this as your only fly rod. But most would not!!!

    The design of Euro rods is for very light and small flies and no fly line. These rods are specially designed for EURO style fly fishing, which is a radically different style, design with a very delicate tips the breaks easily.

    Euro rods have the softest tips for the highest sensitivity. Therefore, they break easily when used the wrong way!!

    Euro style fishing dose not use any floating fly line nor indicator, nor big flies, instead Euro style fishing only uses Mono fishing line !!! Euro fishing is also known as CONTACT fishing!! Meaning, always having a straight line form rod tip to the jig nymph you're ragging along the bottom.

    extremely disappointed in Redington. My first combo was a Redington. On my second time fishing with the rod I thought a stick was wrapped around my tippet. No, it was the tip of the rod - broke off. I didn't jam it into a tree, step on it, nothing. There was nothing that occurred that should have broke the tip of this rod. I was dumbfounded. I do not recommend. This is a very fragile rod - and I'm very careful with my gear.

    This rod does not include a rod tube and thus the "compare" and "savings" prices are totally misleading as nowhere can one buy this rod without a rod tube. One can easily verify this online. So Sierra is comparing "apples and oranges" and engaging in false advertising! Sierra in fairness should highlight lack of tube with this purchase. (The pictures show no rod tube)
