5.0 out of 5 stars. Osprey & Gregory, step aside!

I've owned alot of packs in my last 40 years but I have to admit, the Versant has alot going for it. Fit system is finely tuned - feels great with a 40 lb load. Lots of bells and whistles too numerous to mention. Fabrics and workmanship is what you would expect from Thule. They are new to backpacking but omg, they have made a great debut. Now looking at their Capstone day backs to compliment my shorter trips. Congratulations, Thule - and thank you!

  • 4.0 out of 5 stars. Great pack!

Bought this before my first backpacking trip after lots of reviews and comparison to a similar Osprey, and I'm glad I went with this one! It had more than enough room for all I needed. I went 30 miles in 3 days and my back never hurt, which I was surprised by! I loved that I could reach above my head and access two of the zippered pouches without taking my pack off. There were plenty of separate compartments, but I did find myself wishing for an extra front clasp/strap or two. Nothing that some small carabiners or bungee cords couldn't fix though. I also like that the main part was accessible by the front zipper or the top. All in all, I was very pleased with this purchase!

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars. Love this bag!

This bag is definitely very large, but in the best way. The frame is easy to adjust and distributes weight well. It also has lots of convenient features: the U-zipper is amazing (so much better than digging through your bag from the top!), the included rain cover is great, and the top compartment can become a neat little satchel. Can't think of a single thing I don't like about this bag. It was a huge improvement over my ancient 55 liter pack. Ideal for longer camping trips and for overseas travel.

About Thule

The history of the Thule brand dates back to the early 1940s when Erik Thulin first used the name Thule on custom-made pike traps, which he sold to Scandanavian fisherman. Over the next few decades, the company shifted its business model to creating high-quality Thule car racks and eventually Thule bike racks and ski racks. Today, this innovative brand is considered a leader in car-top cargo systems. When you need to get your gear from A to B without added hassle, you can trust Thule ski racks, bike racks and kayak racks to keep your equipment safe and secure.
