I live in Minnesota, and right now it is 7 degrees- I went outside with the dog and stayed warm. Mittens have a snug band around the wrist, which fits nicely under my coat sleeve. I bit roomy, but I am able to drive while wearing them and I can grip the wheel with no problem.

I bought a pair in green and they are really cute. And more importantly, they are soft and warm. The only issue is that the thumb is made of a thinner material, so it gets a little chilly. I usually wear another pair of gloves underneath these ones, so it solves the "thumb" problem. :)
