They are good-looking boots! There is no gap or seam between the tongue and shoe because they are one piece, which helps keep water out. I have had no blisters or chafing but have gotten a lot of compliments!

They just did not fit at all across the top of the foot. I returned and went up a size thinking that they might have been too tight, but had the same problem with the larger size. The tongue was folded in an odd way that dug into the top of my foot.

But these boots, being made of a heavier leather, turned out to be a little too tight across the ball of the foot. It was clear that I would be hurting in a short time if I wore them on a hike or even a long walk. Too bad. They were gorgeous. I loved the dark red color.
