The story of Merrell boots all started with a guy named Randy Merrell, who began handcrafting leather hiking boots back in 1981, shortly after graduating from industrial shoemaking school. By the mid-80s, Randy’s boots had already gained critical acclaim before being named “best boots in the world” by Backpacker Magazine. The next decade saw the arrival of new footwear, including the ever-popular Jungle Moc, which helped launch the after-sport category. Today, Merrell hiking boots, running shoes and sneakers are still among the best on the market, always combining the newest technology, innovative designs and outstanding comfort. Whether you hike, run, walk or just appreciate high-quality shoes and boots, we’re confident that you’ll love Merrell shoes.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Travel shoesReviewed by The rock climber from Rhode Island on Tuesday, May 7, 2024Bought these for my trip to the Grand Canyon. Best shoe ever?? As my feet swelled, they are adjustable to allow for it. Great arch support so no foot roll on uneven ground

3.0 out of 5 stars. Not for adventures.Reviewed by Heather from Tennessee on Sunday, April 28, 2024With the Merrell name, I bought these sandals for outdoor adventures.
However, these have a soft fabric in-sole that gets dirty quickly and does not clean easily. It also absorbs water and doesn't dry easily.
The Velcro strap on the back kept coming undone with any pressure, so it has to remain loose.
But, once I got them clean, I wore them with casual outfits to work and running errands and they were comfortable and cute. -

1.0 out of 5 stars. VERY POOR QUALITYReviewed by Mskathyb from Silverdale wa on Thursday, April 18, 2024I started wearing these last July 2023. By November they started leaking, the sole edges were separating.
They didn’t even last 6 months! -
4.0 out of 5 stars. Very nice but bigReviewed by mystten from Arizona on Thursday, April 4, 2024I ordered a size 6, the front of the sandal jutted out two inches in front of my big toe. Lovely and excellent quality but too big.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Cushion with arch supportReviewed by SueB from Minnesota on Thursday, April 4, 2024Despite being silly looking, these are fabulous! I had metatarsalgia for several years and comfortable footwear has been problematic to find. My old crocs were just alright. When I tried these on, I was in heaven! They have a supportive arch! I am usually a 9.5-10 womens and the 9 fits so perfectly. They are very secure on my feet. If I go in the lake or need a bit more side stability (when they get wet when I'm gardening) I put the strap behind my heel. Otherwise, they are a great indoor shoe for me and are easy on/off when I come in from outside. They breathe well with all the holes-no sweaty feet! I always buy the cheapest one regardless of the color. You will love these.

2.0 out of 5 stars. Blister MakersReviewed by Don from Utah on Friday, March 29, 2024I really was excited about these shoes when I bought them in the store. They appear that they would be great for a day at the waterpark with 10,000 steps. Do NOT make that mistake. There is a big problem on the inside where the mesh meets the sole. Thick unprotected stitching that rubs the sole of your foot causes blisters quickly. I'm middle age and this is the first time I have ever gotten blisters on the bottom of my feet.

1.0 out of 5 stars. So sad, don’t seem like real MerrellsReviewed by Lisa from New York on Saturday, March 16, 2024I’m a long time fan of Merrell’s shearling lined clogs and have had several pairs in suede and a couple in smooth leather. I work in a chilly OR, and wear the smooth leather ones there because they are super warm and can be wiped clean, as opposed to the suede ones. Merrell hasn’t offered the smooth leather ones in a long time, and mine are finally wearing out, so i was so excited to see these on STP website.
Unfortunately, these don’t feel like even fake leather; they’re thin and the faux lining is also so thin that it won’t be warm at all. I don’t think they are worth even the low Sierra price and these will go right back to the store; I’ll keep searching for the thicker, warmer ones with a more plush lining.
They do run true to size. -
4.0 out of 5 stars. Don’t order half size upReviewed by Karma from Virginia on Tuesday, March 12, 2024I should have got a size 6. I normally wear 61/2-7 so ordered a 7. It has a whole inch space behind my feet. Toe part is great becuase I have a medium length toes. At this point, am not sure if I want to exchange or just keep it. It does have a decent cushion.
