When I tried them on, they were very snug and I almost sent them back. But then later I wore them with thinner socks and the leather relaxed a bit so now they fit perfectly. I love them. The leather is nice and they have just the right amount of heel for me, not too low nor not too high. Plus the bottom has a little tread which is useful for walking down my slippery driveway. The only thing I'm not crazy about is the tie in the back of the boot, because it can come untied.

Very excited to have a nicer looking waterproof boot to wear out in the city. I would suggest sizing up 1/2 a size - I do wish I had a little bit more wiggle room.

If you have a high instep, putting them on requires putting weight on your foot to get them on. If your feet are wide order your size in wide. I am wearing them around the house on occasion to stretch them out a bit (one very nice thing about leather). Other than those few items, it is a great boot and very well made.

I ordered a 9, thinking perhaps it was just the particular style I had before, but had to return. I order the 9.5 and they are very comfortable. So if you are a regular Merrell wearer, order your regular size. If you are not I suggest ordering up 1/2 a size. I subtracted a star because the "fur" around the top kind of looks like a wet dog, and the tie in the back has no function for the fit of the boot - it is there only for decoration (and to become untied when you are not aware) All in all, I like them. We will see how they wear.

They are exactly what I was looking for! They are warm (I am always cold), waterproof & the calf size is perfect (other boot manufacturers make the calf way too big for my size 11 foot). The heel is high enough to look dressier but still be comfortable & they are super cute on the foot! Living in western Washington, being waterproof is a huge bonus. My kids play all sorts of sports & we are outside a lot in the cruddy weather, so I see me getting a lot of use out of these!
