5.0 out of 5 stars. Perfection!Verified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from portland,or on Thursday, June 30, 2016I bought this jacket in the vest version several years ago, and I was ecstatic to see it here in the long-sleeved version! Very high-quality, durable materials. The outer shell is rain- repellent, I've never had rain soak through.....the hood is very generously-sized, the faux fur is not the kind that will get all matted and ugly in a few years. The vest I bought with the same faux fur looks as good as it did the day I bought it! (People sometimes ask me if the fur is real, actually.)
The inner lining is soft and velvet-like, very warm. The cut and fit is very flattering. Can't go wrong with this jacket. -
5.0 out of 5 stars. Soft Shell PlusVerified Buyer Reviewed by Matt R. from Texas on Friday, February 19, 2016I bought this for my wife and she loves it. The soft shell material seems to be relatively durable - standard Marmot. The faux fur hood is very soft. The only thing that was strange was the sizing. My wife (5'6'', 115) usually wears an XS, but it was too small and we sent the first order back. The S we got in return fits more like a standard Marmot soft shell and allows for a thin inner layer.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Really, really lovelyVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Victoria, Australia on Monday, September 21, 2015I live in Australia and wanted a jacket that wasn't for frigid climates, but was still warm enough and looked nice enough to wear to work. I have a Marmot down coat that I never wear since moving here so a soft shell seemed perfect. After reading the reviews I decided to go up a size for layering potential (I'm usually a solid medium and went for the large). I'm really glad I did. (My other Marmot medium fits kind of snugly, I guess that's the way they are). The shell is fairly thin (which is what I wanted) and there is enough room to layer a sweater underneath if it's really cold, but the jacket still has a really flattering shape, even in the larger size. It's long enough to cover the rear too, and the hood is VERY soft. The olive color is really beautiful too. The ONLY thing I might change would be to have the hood detachable, as its thickness won't always be in line with wearing the jacket into spring, which I plan to. I was nervous as returning things from here is really difficult and expensive, but I won't have to. Yay!

4.0 out of 5 stars. Cute and FunctionalVerified Buyer Reviewed by Nikko_SF from San Francisco on Tuesday, January 27, 2015Love this jacket because I love the fur hood! It's a good light weight jacket for mild temperatures. It's a very flattering fit as well.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Way Cute!Verified Buyer Reviewed by Nikko_SF from San Francisco on Tuesday, December 2, 2014This is a cute lightweight jacket for year-round use. The faux fur adds a touch of fashion to its usefulness (wind and rain resistant). I'm normally a XS but ordered the S so I can wear over layers. Recommend!

4.0 out of 5 stars. Olive color is a pretty untraditional green khaki - cut is a bit odd for my body type..coat does not flare out at hips as picture may suggestVerified Buyer Reviewed by Liz from Brooklyn, NY on Tuesday, November 25, 2014I want to really like this coat, but haven't clipped the tags yet. The hood is gorgeous, it's voluminous with the softest fake fur - I may have to keep it just because the hood is so fabulous. The shell is of good quality, the fleece inside is thin - was hoping for it to be a bit thicker. No inside pocket, just two small handwarmer pockets. The questionable part of this jacket for me is the narrowness at the hips. I have a small bust and large hips (5'6", 135 lbs)- normally take between a S and M in jackets, and between a 4-8 in pants. Judging by the picture it would appear that the hips would flare out, but on my body, this jacket is snug at the hips. I did wear the jacket out one day for a quick errand with a thick fleece jacket underneath and was able to zip it up without being cold or uncomfortable (thanks to the added room in the chest and shoulders). Got a great deal thru STP on this jacket and will probably keep it since I can wear layers underneath, just wish it had more feminine flair at the hips to accommodate us pear shape girlie types.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Green color is not a good choice for meVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from NE PA on Monday, November 17, 2014The coat is precisely as described: comfy, warm, and attractive. However the green is not quite as pictured. It is drab and unattractive on me so the coat is being returned. Sigh, I wish the other colors were still available.

5.0 out of 5 stars. My new favoriteVerified Buyer Reviewed by LisaPNW from Washington on Monday, November 10, 2014I was looking for a nice soft shell and Marmot delivered. The small fits nicely (5'2", 105lbs). It sheds water well, resists the wind and the hood is a great, luxurious touch. It is soft, warm and a joy to pull up in the rain. The jacket provides the performance of great technical wear with a touch of style.
