5.0 out of 5 stars. Doesn't feel like a work boot!

I can’t say much for longevity because I’ve only worn them for two weeks but I’ve had them on cat walks and soaking wet conditions, (working in a cheese plant it’s the norm.) my feet still stay dry and the soles have been holding up great not to mention they’re super lightweight compared to my old steel toes. Feels like I’m wearing ultralight hiking boots! As for the fit, I have narrow feet and they fit and feel great. The sizing seems to be true I normally wear a 9 in hiking boots so that’s what I went with. I highly recommend these to anyone!

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars. Good, Quality Boots For The Price

Even though i returned mine because i have a wide foot, being in the construction business I have owned all kinds of boots and these are the lightest 6 inch boots I have seen. The interior of the boot was well padded and comfortable, the insert was thick and had lot's of cushion, as well as the tongue on the boot. The lugs on the sole were real nice and deep, good for traction in mud. They were just a tad too tight on my foot, but I usually wear wides and sometimes I can sneak by with a regular width, but not in this case. All in all a good quality boot for $99

Order #S3683358 This is an update to my previous review on these boots. While I gave a very positive review initially, a problem has come to light. I have developed Plantar Fasiatis in my left foot. It continued to worsen until it became painful to walk. I changed back to my old Asolo boots where the problem resolved itself within 2 days. The only observable fit difference in the boots was the heel of the Merrell boots felt much lower compared to the ball of the foot than the Asolos. I am working on this problem and will update again if I find something significant.

About Merrell

The story of Merrell boots all started with a guy named Randy Merrell, who began handcrafting leather hiking boots back in 1981, shortly after graduating from industrial shoemaking school. By the mid-80s, Randy’s boots had already gained critical acclaim before being named “best boots in the world” by Backpacker Magazine. The next decade saw the arrival of new footwear, including the ever-popular Jungle Moc, which helped launch the after-sport category. Today, Merrell hiking boots, running shoes and sneakers are still among the best on the market, always combining the newest technology, innovative designs and outstanding comfort. Whether you hike, run, walk or just appreciate high-quality shoes and boots, we’re confident that you’ll love Merrell shoes.
