Merrell Around Town Slip On Air Shoes - Leather (For Women)

I love Merrill shoes, so thought I’d give these a try. Sometimes I can wear a 6, but these were too small.

Like another reviewer, I really wanted these shoes to work out. They are a nice cute style for summer that I was going to wear with my capris. However, there was a defect with the left insole. Somehow it wasn't formed correctly and made a weird noise as I walked in them. If I wore socks the noise was muffled, but like the other reviewer mentioned these don't look like the type of shoes you'd want to wear socks with. I debated about ordering a replacement pair but then decided against it. The insoles weren't very cushy or comfy, and the way the leather was cut around the sides and the heel I could see it rubbing and causing irritation. Also, with it being a soft suede leather the tongue of the shoe would want to fold in as I slipped them on and I would have to reach down to correct it. These are a very nice cute style, but I think the company still needs to work out some details in making the fit more comfortable.

9 1/2 was too big and the 9 was good in length but still too wide. Sadly returned.

I wanted so much to like this shoe.....perfect color, perfect style, right? But I couldn't get past its discomfort. Perhaps if I'd worn a sock, maybe, but when do socks and mule-style shoes go together? It was most uncomfortable on the inside.....scratchy places. Had to send them back.
