Too minimalist for my liking. Feels like I am wear flipflops. I definitely need more support/cushion.

They are soft & flexible yet have grippy soles - perfect for running on narrow, twisted trails with lots of tree roots. I would not recommend them for running on pavement because they do not have much padding. I love Columbia's omni-heat! The first time I wore these shoes I ended up taking a "short-cut" that took me into a tussock swamp and I stepped in a puddle & soaked my foot in 35 degree water. Within a few minutes my foot felt warm & dry again and I finished my run with little discomfort. Amazing!
