3.0 out of 5 stars. Narrow Arms
Reviewed by Anonymous from Florida on Monday, March 18, 2013
This was a really cute jacket of a medium weight fleece, but the arms were too narrow making it feel uncomfortably tight. The narrow fit was the entire length of the sleeve, not just the shoulder area. I liked the stitched design on the back and would have liked to keep it, but the binding on my arms made it unwearable, even with a sleeveless top underneath. I am 5'6" and about 125 lbs and ordered a medium. This fleece does not have a lot of stretch, so the close fit was particularly irksome.

  • 3.0 out of 5 stars. Love the fleece, but very small arms
Reviewed by Iowa Dane from Overland Park, KS on Sunday, March 1, 2015
This fleece is so soft and good looking, but the arms are so narrow. I read the reviews before I purchased this fleece and I thought this would work for me since I have very slender arms and I like a close fit. I have never seen arms this narrow, I am not sure what Marmot was thinking when the designed the arms. I gave it 3 stars because of the soft cozy feel and a nice design on the back, but the arms pulled the rating down to 3 stars. I ordered a size S, it generally fits small, but the arms are for an XXS person.
  • 2.0 out of 5 stars. They took the arms off a kid's jacket
Reviewed by NatureGirl from Whitehall, PA on Friday, March 14, 2014
This jacket is beautiful. It's super soft, the stitched detailing add a touch of femininity, and the body fit was excellent. The sleeves? I could barely get my arms into them. I'm 5'8", 140, slim athletic build. The body of the jacket had just enough room for a light sweater or two layers of tech shirts, but I couldn't get my arms in the sleeves with either of those initial layers on. When I tried with just a tee shirt, I got my arms in, but they felt too snug, and the jacket didn't move well with me because of it. Yet, the sleeves were long enough. Just unfortunate.

About Marmot

Conceived in a university dorm room by a pair of climbing buddies, Marmot Mountain Works first opened its doors in the spring of 1974 in Grand Junction, Colorado. At the time, the base of operations was a 100-year-old stone building. That same year, the first Marmot down jacket was produced specifically for an action flick called “The Eiger Sanction,” starring legendary actor Clint Eastwood. In the four decades since, Marmot has continued to engineer reliable gear that exceeds the expectations of outdoor athletes. Today, Marmot tents, backpacks, outerwear, clothing and Marmot sleeping bags are still pushing the limits in the planet’s most challenging conditions, from the summits of the world’s highest mountains to the deepest river basins.
