It does all of those important things, but is actually cute also, which is a great bonus. The shorts underneath are very short, so I don't think that they will chafe or get in the way. I am probably between sizes and should have gone with a 6, but there wasn't one available and I like it so much that I am going to hang on to the barely too big 8 (as a point of reference I am 5'7", 145lbs, and pear-shaped). A great buy!

Play golf in it, but great for just around town. Wish they had more colors. Fits is true to Columbia, I am size 10 and medium was perfect.
