5.0 out of 5 stars. Roomy and Easy to set up

I bought this tent for my upcoming solo cross country trip...I know, a 3p tent for one?! It's perfect. I tested it out with a friend this weekend and it was great for 2, enough room so you're not all up in each other's business. I will eventually be camping with a dog and another human and I think it will be just enough space without being too bulky to pack along. Great quality, the fly has two large vestibules on each side which worked well for dirty shoes and any other items you may not want in your sleeping space. It has a low profile which I love, although some may have a hard time getting in and out. Long enough for tall people without feeling cramped in or sleeping up against the tent wall (I'm 5'9" and slept comfortably with my arms over my head). 2 doors is the only way to go if not camping solo. It did not come with a footprint so I purchased one from another tent manufacturer and it worked perfectly. Overall, a great buy. Would buy again.

  • 4.0 out of 5 stars. Great Summer Camping Tent
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Colorado on Friday, August 7, 2015
The tent breathes very well for nice summer weather and allows you to look up at the stars at night. Moisture accumulates on the outer rain cover instead of inside the tent. Plenty of room for 2 people, might be tight for 3. Also would recommend getting some quality stakes and a footprint/tarp from Home Depot to go with this setup.

  • 4.0 out of 5 stars. Excellent Family Tent!
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Baltimore, MD on Tuesday, May 26, 2015
We have slept in this tent only once since purchase. It is as big as a king size bed - plenty of room for two adults and one 8 year old child. It's light and we may use backpacking, but it's still pretty bulky, so not sure. We got it for a car camping trip in July - lots of ventilation, even with the rain fly. We were comfortable. Wish it were a bit heavier material - seems like it will get a puncture easily. We need to make a footprint for it. . .doesn't come with one.

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars. solid three person tent

I purchased this for the times when three people in our family go backpacking and to use when my wife and I need a car camping tent. We have taken it out on the trail two times and it rocks. Definitely enough room for me, my wife and our teen daughter. Easy to split three ways. Easy to set up and roomy. We used Tyvek for a ground cloth. I am about 6'2" and there is plenty of head room in this tent....that is important to me. Construction appears to be top notch....typical of Marmot tents. Plenty of mesh. Even with the three of us, there was not an obscene amount of condensation in the morning. Vey happy with this tent!

About Marmot

Conceived in a university dorm room by a pair of climbing buddies, Marmot Mountain Works first opened its doors in the spring of 1974 in Grand Junction, Colorado. At the time, the base of operations was a 100-year-old stone building. That same year, the first Marmot down jacket was produced specifically for an action flick called “The Eiger Sanction,” starring legendary actor Clint Eastwood. In the four decades since, Marmot has continued to engineer reliable gear that exceeds the expectations of outdoor athletes. Today, Marmot tents, backpacks, outerwear, clothing and Marmot sleeping bags are still pushing the limits in the planet’s most challenging conditions, from the summits of the world’s highest mountains to the deepest river basins.
