5.0 out of 5 stars. Betmar Karina Wool Beret GrayReviewed by HikerBikerRunner from Tacoma,WA on Sunday, January 10, 2016I am a hat gal, and the Betmar Karina wool beret is a winner. It is cuter than depicted. I know because I received at least a dozen compliments the first time I wore it. The velvet adornments add nice touches. Several people wanted to know where they could buy the same hat. It fit comfortably. I usually wear Small. I will definitely look for more Betmar hats. This was an excellent purchase.

5.0 out of 5 stars. LOVE IT!Verified Buyer Reviewed by KSchu from Marietta GA on Thursday, January 29, 2015I'm not much of a hat person, but I've been wearing this one and gotten compliments. it's well made, nicely lined. The fabric has a few shiny specs, so it's not flat black. the band around makes it easier to put on, and the elastic back helps with different size heads. it's nicely lined. the little bow in front makes it look really chic. looks more like a Che Guevara beret than a French beret though. the one thing is that it doesn't cover all the ears, so if it's cold and windy, this is not the hat to wear because the bottom half of your ears will be cold. But if it's cool, it definitely makes a fashion statement.

1.0 out of 5 stars. oh dear.....Verified Buyer Reviewed by b from the west on Thursday, December 4, 2014This hat is tiny! It might suit a nine year old best.
I remember Betmar from my high school days and I like the style and the materials used.
It needs to be have about 3 inches more space in the headband. On me, it is so tight that my hair puffs out from underneath. If I pull it down, it is still 2 inches above my ears. If I let it sit on top of my head, it is comically small.
I wish I had a way to ascertain this before buying. -
1.0 out of 5 stars. Rabbit Fur - no thank youReviewed by Susannahm from Fair Oaks, CA on Friday, August 1, 2014The hat is fine, nothing special. What bothers me is that the pompom is obviously made of real fur, which is not listed on the product description and also not on the label in the hat. It's very easy to tell it is real fur. It is my understanding that it is against the law in the US to use fur and not list it. I'm going to look into it. I sent the hat back; I don't want a dead bunny or any other animal perched on my head.

4.0 out of 5 stars. cute and well madeReviewed by mermaid 27 from Cape Cod MA on Friday, January 17, 2014The STP description is accurate. A nice fit, lined, not loony-looking like some berets. Only issue for me was the Betmar logo on a metal tab just to the left of the bow -- that is, in front. It isn't huge but I don't like logos -- In the photo you can make it out above the bow. My fine-nosed pliers pried it off and now I am very pleased.
