4.0 out of 5 stars. DecentVerified Buyer Reviewed by Jeff from Kentucky on Tuesday, June 16, 2015This jacket is pretty nice. It feels solid and weather proof.
I was not a fan of the stretch material on the back. It felt okay thick to trap heat. It is just in a weird spot and looks weird. I am also not a fan of the stretch material under the arms. I would like it better if the stretch was eliminated. This sucker would be bombproof if they got rid of the stretch.
Still warm jacket built by folks that know how to make a soft shell. I recommend it. I personally like the Columbia Ascender and Key 3 jackets better.
Fit was true. The XL was to big for me. I am 6 feet and 210 lbs. -
4.0 out of 5 stars. Good soft shell for active activities, but fit is a little tight for layering.Verified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Colorado on Thursday, May 21, 2015I'm 6'00" and 195#. The large fits on the snug side, but it is okay. I can wear a mid-weight fleece pull over underneath. I have swimmers build, so if you have broad shoulders and large arms, this coat probably won't work for you. I like that Columbia made a jacket with a hood that's built in, rather than attached, and that the hood fits over a helmet.
Considering the athletic fit, and the variety of the materials used, this seems to be more of a purpose built jacket for climbing, hiking, nordic skiing, and spring alpine skiing. -
5.0 out of 5 stars. cannot go wrong at the price i got it forVerified Buyer Reviewed by bill from folsom, ca on Thursday, May 21, 2015well made, pit zips!, size large fits my size 43 chest fairly closely. hood has two adjustments on it, hood really is made for a helmet, but i think with a baseball hat should be OK. it is insulated, it is not a shell. for the price it is a steal. i think it's primary purpose is as a ski jacket, but it will serve as a cold /wet weather jacket as well.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Great JacketVerified Buyer Reviewed by Ted from Laramie from Wyoming on Saturday, February 7, 2015I bought this jacket to wear while cross country skate skiing in windy SE Wyoming. It is very effective at shedding the wind and keeps me warm in 25-30 degree temperatures while wearing only a single base layer beneath. The pockets are deep and roomy enough to hold an extra hat and pair of gloves; the inner mesh pockets are large enough to hold my glove covers (one in each of the pockets). Its athletic fit still allows me to wear a fleece sweater on colder days, however it is a bit snug on my shoulders. I always fall between a size medium and large, I am glad I got the large. The pit zips are long enough for good ventilation and the entire jacket breathes quit well. My only complaint is that the zippers are a bit difficult to operate, especially the pit zips, but I still highly recommended the Triteca II jacket.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Overall Fit.Verified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Spokane on Sunday, January 18, 2015I found this XL Jacket fit on the small side. I am a former college football player and stand 5'11" and weigh close to 230 pounds. Needless to say the years in the weight room have made my upper body quite large. If you are barrel chested then this jacket will not fit across the chest area. I would have had to buy a XXL to fit me properly but then the rest of the jacket (like the arm length) would not have been a fit. Overall I loved the Jacket and would recommend this Jacket to anyone, but if you have a large upper torso you might be disappointed in the fit.
